スナップとポートレートの違い - Snaps vs. Portraits

ポートレート作品ではもちろん、ストリートスナップでも主となる被写体が「人」になることが8割を占めています。ではその二つのジャンルになんの違いがあるのか。
私にとってその決定的な境目は「被写体の意識」にあると考えています。

被写体となる人物が撮影をされていることを意識していればそれはポートレートであり、無意識のうちに作品となっていればスナップである。
紙一重の違いであり、シンプルな考えですが、それにつきます。

As objects in portrait works are persons, it is so too in more than 80% of my snap works. Then, what is the different between snaps and portraits showing the same object.
For me, the decisive difference is in the consciousness of the framed person.

If the framed person is conscious of being photographed, then the resulting work is a portrait.
On the other hand, every unconsciously taken picture turns in to snap.
It is a simple little difference, but fundamental.
